Kora Marine, official dealer of Azimut Yachts for North-West Italy, has chosen Milano Design Week 2026 to present BEYOND THE SEA(TY), an evening dedicated to contemporary nautical design, opening a dialogue with the Milanese public, an international crossroads of design and contemporary culture.
The event took place in the spaces of m²atelier, the architecture studio founded by Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli, transformed for the occasion into a meeting place between architecture and yachting. After designing prestigious private clubs between Milan and New York and residential projects, m²atelier brings its stylistic signature on board the Azimut Yachts Grande Series, where its cosmopolitan vision meets attention to detail born of the highest artisanal craftsmanship, through solutions characterized by a strong focus on the sensory dimension of space, research on materials, and the architectural use of light.
BEYOND THE SEA(TY) brought the sea into the city, not as a simple evocation, but as a design dimension. At the center was the Azimut Yachts universe and, in particular, the Grande Series, an expression of an onboard living concept that introduces the idea of barefoot luxury. This approach interprets the vision of a new generation of owners oriented towards an informal and deeply personal lifestyle, expressed through a language in which spatial continuity, light, and the relationship with the environment become fundamental elements.
The evening featured Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli, co-founders of m²atelier, who shared their approach to developing the interiors of the Azimut Grande Series yachts they design. In dialogue with Francesco Montanella, founder of Kora Marine, a shared vision between contemporary design and yachting emerged.
“Our goal is to translate the sea into architecture,” say Radovic and Bonelli. “We do not simply design interiors, but experiences: spaces to be lived naturally, where every element contributes to creating balance, continuity, and freedom.”
Francesco Montanella echoes this vision:
“With Azimut and m²atelier we share a precise vision: placing at the center the way space is experienced on board, in relation to the sea and nature. Design Week is the ideal context for this narrative.”
For the occasion, the courtyard of m²atelier was transformed into a landscape inspired by the nautical world, articulated into three lounge areas characterized by a predominance of wood, a direct reference to yacht aesthetics.
A multisensory performance accompanied the evening, intertwining the sounds of a harpist with those of a sound designer, helping to create an immersive and suspended atmosphere.
Inside, a space dedicated to Azimut allowed guests to personally experience life on board a yacht. Through a virtual room with headset and large-screen projections, it was possible to interactively explore the interiors of the Grande Series designed by m²atelier.
Completing the experience, the fragrances of Culti Milano contributed to defining a coherent and enveloping environment, while the beverage offering accompanied the evening with a drink list curated by Ferrari Trento and Gin Tonic Tassoni of the Lunelli Group, event partners.
With BEYOND THE SEA(TY), Kora Marine strengthens the dialogue between yachting, design, and contemporary culture, helping to bring the language of the sea into the heart of the city.
