Azimut and E1 Team Miami, powered by Magnus, are thrilled to announce the extension of their partnership for the 2025 season of the UIM E1 World Championship. Building on the success of their collaboration in 2024, this extended partnership reaffirms both brands’ shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and performance excellence.
Azimut Yachts, renowned for its luxurious and environmentally conscious designs, will continue as the official partner of E1 Team Miami as the team enters its second season of the world’s first all-electric powerboat championship. This extended partnership will further enhance the race experience for fans while reinforcing the critical importance of sustainable marine solutions and cutting-edge technology in the sport of electric racing. In 2025, Azimut will elevate the excitement of the E1 races by bringing its iconic yachts to the forefront, even offering some fans an exclusive and unparalleled vantage point to enjoy the races.
Since their debut partnership at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2024, Azimut and Team Miami have built a close working relationship. Under the leadership of six-time world champion Erik Stark and eight-time national champion Anna Glennon, Team Miami has established itself as a dominant force in the E1 Championship standings. Azimut’s world-class craftsmanship, combined with its innovative Low-Emissions fleet offering four distinct levels of electrification (ranging from Mild to Full Hybrid), aligns seamlessly with Team Miami’s mission to lead the charge in sustainable maritime competition. As the team continues to push the boundaries of electric racing, this partnership is poised to further elevate the sport’s global profile.
Robert Jakobi, CEO and co-founder of E1 Team Miami, powered by Magnus, notes: “We are delighted to have renewed our partnership with Azimut Yachts for the 2025 Season. Both Azimut Yachts and Team Miami share so many synergies, pushing the boundaries of technology, luxury, and environmental stewardship. We are excited to continue working together, enhancing the race experience for our fans and introducing them to the unparalleled elegance, luxury and eco-consciousness of Azimut Yachts.”
Jad Zakkak Migliorini, Chief Marketing Officer at Azimut Yachts, stated: “At Azimut, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in luxury yachting while embracing environmentally conscious solutions, and this partnership exemplifies our shared commitment to this vision. As the E1 Championship paves the way for the future of electric marine sports, we are proud to stand alongside Team Miami, supporting their mission to inspire a more sustainable future for our oceans”.
In addition to the high-speed thrills and groundbreaking electric boat technologies, fans can look forward to the highly anticipated E1 Miami GP, which will serve as the thrilling season finale for the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship. Set for November 7th & 8th, 2025, the race will take place on Virginia Key, adjacent to the legendary Miami Marine Stadium, a historic venue known as the spiritual home of American powerboating. Opened in 1963, the stadium was the first purpose-built facility for powerboat racing in the U.S., hosting iconic events such as the Orange Bowl Regatta and the Bill Muncey Invitational.
The E1 Miami GP will bring world-class electric boat racing back to this iconic venue while also playing a pivotal role in revitalizing the stadium and advancing restoration efforts for the surrounding area. The event will be promoted by Magnus in partnership with E1, offering an unforgettable experience for fans and further cementing the partnership’s dedication to sustainable motorsports and luxury yachting, as Azimut will also take part in the event, bringing the brand’s glamorous lifestyle and avant-garde vessels to the forefront.
