Off Piste Marine, a new British shipyard, has started the construction of the first unit from its Endurance series. The keel of the 11-metre Endurance catamaran has been laid, and Off Piste Marine expects to complete the exploration chase boat later this year. Sea trials are planned for the end of summer.
Exterior design by HydroTec, the in-build chase boat is one of the larger models from the Endurance range. At 11-metres it’s the perfect chase boat or tender for adventure-driven superyacht owners. But it’s also just as suited as a stand-alone vessel. Endurance leverages all the advantages of an aluminium hull catamaran, including increased width or length for enhanced load capacity and shallow draft as well as the ability to remain safe and stable whilst operating in tidal rivers or estuaries around the world. The entire range has been designed to withstand every climate, overcome any challenges, and be able to get you as far as you dare. The Endurance promise is that wherever you go, you will get back.
“At Off Piste Marine, we believe in pushing the limits of what’s possible,” says James Wakeford, Founder of Off Piste Marine. “Endurance is not just a boat; it’s a testament to the spirit of adventure, built for those who dare to explore the unknown.”
Endurance blends the best of British engineering and Italian elegance. The sleek exterior styling is by Hydro Tec, the world-renowned superyacht design house, while the naval architecture comes from Chartwell Marine, a multi-award-winning commercial engineering firm. The result is an adventure-ready utility boat with the rugged elegance of a modern 4×4 off road vehicle, capable of cruising anywhere in the world. Constructed from military-grade aluminium, this is one of the toughest and most versatile explorer chase boats, with the grace and aesthetics to complement any superyacht tender inventory.
“Our extensive experience in developing world-class explorer vessels has been crucial to the Endurance project,” says Sergio Cutolo, Founder of Hydro Tec. “We have channelled our deep background in exploration into the design of this small tender, breaking down all barriers and enabling limitless exploration in areas without services or docks.”
No other chase boat on the market offers such a high carrying capacity while being built to tackle extreme climates. With a modular layout and customisable solutions, there is guaranteed to be an Endurance that meets your needs. The innovative modular design also reduces the need for multiple tenders, as modules can be easily swapped and stored on the mothership, allowing you to customise the vessel for each activity. The Endurance range is ideal for commercial use, fishing, military operations, or as a chase boat and tender – adaptable for every mission.
“Drawing on my decades of experience, I founded Off Piste Marine to create bespoke, explorer-style boats,” says James Wakeford, CEO of Off Piste Marine. “I’ve applied my knowledge of reliability, design, and attention to detail to build vessels that I trust for my own family. Many of the features and practical aspects of the design have been drawn from my experience of when things have gone wrong. I always focus on safety, reliability, practicality, and redundancy, which are crucial for an exploration vessel in remote areas.”
Other models from the Endurance range include an 11-metre wide-body version (E110WB) and the slightly shorter 9-metre (E90). Off Piste Marine offers custom solutions and invites clients to be as involved as they wish in crafting their ultimate, go-anywhere boat.
