On April 8th, at the Overmarine shipyard in Viareggio, the first unit of the Mangusta GranSport 34 was launched.
A moment that marks the beginning of an evolution for the Mangusta GranSport line, inheriting the legacy of the previous Mangusta GranSport 33 — an award-winning model of which 12 units have been delivered — and evolving its vision in a more contemporary direction, both aesthetically and technologically.
Designed by Alberto Mancini in collaboration with the Engineering Department of Overmarine Group, the Mangusta GranSport 34 stems from the meeting of sporty, decisive lines, remarkable performance, and an increasingly versatile onboard concept.
The result is a yacht capable of combining performance with a high level of comfort, with onboard livability designed to ensure maximum flexibility of use, typical of larger models.
The reduced draft also allows extremely comfortable navigation even in shallow waters, further expanding its range of use.
With its 33.9 metres in length and 7.4 metres maximum beam, the Mangusta GranSport 34 is not only a way of navigating, but a place to be lived according to one’s own rhythm.
The interiors and exteriors engage in an even more continuous dialogue, naturally accompanying the transition between navigation, relaxation, and conviviality, thanks to an updated exterior line with enlarged glazed surfaces on both the main deck and the lower deck.
The generous volumes and the constant visual connection with the sea contribute to creating a fluid and immersive onboard experience, features increasingly appreciated by contemporary owners.
Among the distinctive elements, the approximately 40 sqm (435 sq/ft) owner’s suite on the main deck and a layout featuring four guest cabins — two VIP and two twin — in addition to three crew cabins, ensure a perfect balance between livability, privacy, and operational efficiency.
The propulsion of the Mangusta GranSport 34 is entrusted to four Volvo Penta IPS engines, which ensure maneuverability, reduced consumption, and a high level of acoustic and vibration comfort.
The maximum speed of 24 knots and its range make this model ideal also for extended cruising.
Compared to the previous 33-metre model, the project also evolves on a technical level: the aft cockpit area and the garage have been enlarged to accommodate SCR filters, now essential for navigating in ECA areas such as the American coasts.
Not by chance, this first unit is destined for a U.S. owner and will be delivered by the end of May 2026.
As Stefano Arlunno, President Mangusta Americas, underlines: “The Mangusta GranSport 34 is enjoying great success overseas. Of the previous 33-metre model, as many as six units have been delivered to American clients. The secret of this success lies in the sporty lines and the perfect balance between generous volumes, speeds up to 24 knots, and reduced draft, a fundamental feature for navigating in U.S. waters and Caribbean islands.”
