Van der Valk, triple debute at Cannes Yachting Festival 2021

We are delighted to announce that we will display three of our latest launches – the 27-metre Raised Pilothouse yacht Helga, the award-winning 14.62-metre Waterdream California 52 and the 28m Explorer yacht Venera (on appointment)  – at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival. Van der Valk will be joining the other big names in leisure sailing to launch the show season at Cannes on 7 to 12 September 2021.

The most hotly-anticipated boat show in Europe is back after being forced to cancel last year due to the pandemic. Van der Valk will be joining a total of 470 international industry figures at the event, with an incredible 560 new boats ranging from 3-45 metres making an appearance this year, and 150 of those making their world premiere.

As usual, the show can be visited in two parts: Vieux Port is the place to be to see motorboats, and Port Canto will be home to the sailing vessels.

27,3m Raised Pilothouse MY “Helga”

This year, we will be displaying the 27.3-metre fifth Raised Pilothouse motor yacht Helga. A true head-turner thanks to her eye-catching pastel blue hull, Helga has been created as a family-friendly superyacht for her owners and their adult children, with her layout and interior fully customised to the client’s requirements.

Designed inside and out by Dutch studio Guido de Groot, the all-aluminium Helga showcases a contemporary and sophisticated interior, distinctive for its spacious and comfortable main salon and large seating area in the wheelhouse, with the galley located forward. Accommodating up to eight guests on board across four staterooms, Helga can reach a top speed of 27 knots thanks to her twin 12-cylinder MTU engines.

28,5m Explorer MY “Venera”

In addition, our 28.50-metre Explorer motor yacht Venera – launched in 2020 and also from the drawing boards of Guido de Groot – will be available for visits during Cannes by appointment.

Waterdream California 52

Finally, we are proud to announce that the Waterdream California 52 will be presented during the show. This weekender is completed by our craftspeople in less than five months, while taking all Covid-19 precautions into account. The yacht is delivered to her owner last August. Last year the 14.62-metre motor yacht won the ‘Most Innovative Award’ at the

World Yacht Trophies 2020 in the 45-64 foot category.

A bespoke weekender yacht built on behalf of Dutch company Waterdream, the full-custom all-aluminium California sports a radical and timeless design from the drawing boards of Vripack and features a smart layout, smooth and elegant interior styling and twin Volvo Penta IPS 800 engines for an impressive top speed of 35 knots (IPS 950s may also be supplemented for a maximum speed of 40 knots).

The second California 52 motor yacht was delivered this year, with hull numbers three and four currently under construction at our facility in Waalwijk.
