The sixteenth edition of YARE, Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience, organised by NAVIGO in the Tuscan nautical district, concluded today after three days running from 11 to 13 March. More than 100 superyacht captains and approximately 150 companies from the international marine supply chain met across shipyards, conference rooms and working sessions throughout the event. Business meetings scheduled through the event’s digital platform exceeded 2,600.
A landmark evening on Via Coppino
The evening of 12 March closed with the YARE gala dinner, held in the heart of Via Coppino, at the centre of Viareggio’s boatbuilding district. Inside a temporary structure set up among the shipyards, over 600 industry professionals gathered for a networking event that combined hospitality and entertainment: a display of illuminated water features — staged in this setting for the first time — transformed the working waterfront into an atmospheric backdrop, bringing the event directly into the operational core of the district.
13 March: the final day
The last day concluded the “B2C Meet the Captains” meetings during the morning session. In the afternoon, four parallel workshops took place, structured as operational working tables.
Topics covered: refit and environmental sustainability (moderated by Alperen Direkci); professional development in the yachting industry (moderated by David Seal); new fiscal and legal challenges for the sector, including VAT, export regulations and ESG standards (led by Gianfranco Puopolo and Carla Bellieni); and the application of artificial intelligence to nautical operations (moderator: Robin Weninger).
In the evening, the networking event “Anchor’s Up! – Night on Course” brought together captains and company representatives.
With its sixteenth edition, YARE consolidates its standing as an international meeting point for captains, businesses and refit professionals in the Tuscan yachting district. The event is part of Tuscany Yachting Week and is supported by the Camera di Commercio della Toscana Nord-Ovest, the Tuscany Region and Toscana Promozione Turistica, reflecting its strategic importance for the local economy.
